Hello.  My name is Kathy Say.  I am a professional speaker.  I provide Deafhood workshops.  What is Deafhood workshop about? 


Deaf people grew up at residential, oral, mainstreaming (programs for the Deaf) and/or public schools.  They come from hearing or Deaf family.  They have different backgrounds but all have same experience.  What is the same experience?  Oppression.   Even though they have experienced being oppressed, they have Deaf soul.  Some of them accept their oppression and go on with their lives.   Some of them know they are oppressed but they dont know what they can change.  They want to do something to empower themselves.  They ask themselves why they have to struggle with oppression and how they can change.
